Nature of site: abandoned site/tumbu
Period: Epic traditions link its origin to Tiramakan (early Kaabu) but according to current elders the village was founded by Koule Mbayo during Late Kaabu, then abandoned and refounded during the time of Musa Molo by Keita Seda.
Description: Archaeological site is at least 7ha, and includes both evidence of recent abandonments (visible house mounds, modern wells) and earlier occupation (cord-decorated sherds).
